Kids Against Hunger attended the Kiwanis International Convention

Last week, a team from Kids Against Hunger attended the Kiwanis International Convention. Kiwanis is a service club dedicated to “Serving the Children of the World”. For many years, Kiwanis clubs have supported the work of Kids Against Hunger through financial contributions and by providing members to package the meals. Last year the South Denver Kiwanis club became an official Kids Against Hunger Satellite-the first Kiwanis club to do so. They have organized numerous community packaging events, the largest of which was held over Memorial Day weekend and produced over 100,000 meals. These events have also raised awareness in the Denver area of the work of both Kiwanis and Kids Against Hunger.

The convention provided an opportunity to meet and talk with hundreds of attendees who were interested in researching service projects for their local clubs. Many expressed interest in following the example of South Denver Kiwanis and starting a packaging satellite in their area.
We’re looking forwarding to building our association with Kiwanis and together continuing to “Serve the Children of the World”.
